Every year, WPS is excited to fund UCLA student attendance of the annual Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP)!

 CUWiP is a series of conferences sponsored by the American Physical Society. The conferences are held simultaneously nationwide, and aim to promote diversity and provide support to women in physics. 

The western regional CUWiP conference (including California, Hawaii, Alaska, and Arizona) will be hosted at UC Merced in January, 2022. Food and housing will be provided by the conference, and the only a small registration fee required. If you cannot afford the registration feel, fee waivers can be applied for through the APS website. They may be able to provide accommodations for those who may need it, including disability and childcare accommodations. Students from community colleges are also encouraged to attend!

Events include planetary talks, panels, professional skills workshops, a student poster session, and a job fair. Optional lab tours and social events are also scheduled.
