Every year, W+PS is excited to fund UCLA student attendance of the annual Conference for Undergraduate Women and Gender Minorities in Physics (CU*iP)!

CU*iP is a series of conferences sponsored by the American Physical Society. The conferences are held simultaneously nationwide, and aim to promote diversity and provide support to women in physics.
The western regional CU*iP conference (including California, Hawaii, Alaska, and Arizona) will be hosted at UC San Diego and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on January 24 - 26, 2025. Food and housing will be provided by the conference. Only a small registration fee is required, and you can apply for a waiver, if needed, on the APS website. They may be able to provide accommodations for those who may need it, including disability and childcare accommodations. Students from community colleges are also encouraged to attend!

Events include plenary talks, panels, professional skills workshops, a student poster session, and a job fair. Optional lab tours and social events are also scheduled.
