W+PS Informational Booth
Welcome to our booth! Here, we proudly share our mission as a UCLA club dedicated to supporting gender minorities in the physical sciences. We aim to cultivate a vibrant community that promotes inclusion and empowerment. You can learn about our past events, both social and professional, where we've fostered connections and growth within our community!

Wave Hello to Physics!
At this booth, we explore how waves move energy in different ways. With prisms and flashlights, we will bend light and make rainbows, showing how light waves change direction when they pass through materials. We also have a giant slinky that we use to model the different types of waves, parts of a wave, interference, and the harmonics. (Age Recommendation 3+)

Circuit Circus
At our Circuit Circus booth, we demonstrate how to power a clock and turn on an LED light using only lemons. We also have human circuit demos where we hold hands to light up a bulb. (Age Recommendation 6+)

Female Physics Nobel Lauretes
This booth features the female physics Nobel Laureates and demos related to their discoveries. We also share statistics about the disproportionate number of women who have won physics nobel prizes. (Age Recommendation 5+)

Day in the Life of a UCLA Physics Student Video
Learn about what a day in the life looks like as a UCLA physical sciences major. Get a tour of our building, discussion classrooms, and some of the labs on campus! (Age Recommendation: Middle-High School)

And more!
